“Mary…” He repeated before blinking a few times. He gave her a small awkward smile before reaching over to give her hand a small, quick shake.

“Nice meeting you Mary.”

The woman was bright, unfazed by his awkward smile and agreeing body language. Mary took the hand back, using it to comb back her red hair.

“The feeling is mutual, Billy,” Smile unwavering as she blinked at him, wondering what she could do to make him more comfortable. Idle talk? No, that would just make everything awkward.

Sucking in her lower lip to chew as her mind talk of something to move on to, conversational wise, “So… what do you do? For a living, I mean.”

Horrible couldn’t help but watch her. It was creepy, he knew. But he couldn’t help it! Mary looked just like Penny! The girl of his dreams. It was hard not to stare.

Or be awkward. Than again, he was just an awkward person by nature. Shifting on his feet he chewed on the inside of his cheek, snapping out of his thoughts when she spoke.

“Oh… I—I um…” Damn. He was going to have to come up with something. It’s not like he could say he was a villain. No, no. That’s be bad. “I work in a local cafe.” He blurted out. “And I’m possibly hoping to get in to another job.” Hopefully that was convincing enough.

Horrible turned his head and eyes widened in surprise. It was Penny. Wait, no it wasn’t It was her. Thought the woman in his presents looked nearly identical to her. “Oh… ugh. He-hello.” He said before clearing his throat. “I’m Doc— Billy… I’m Billy.”

“Hello, Billy.” Mary smiles softly, extending a hand to shake. Her eyes light up as the woman tilts her hand to the side to introduce herself.

“I’m Mary.”

She gave him a rueful grin. “Aren’t you lucky.” She paused, mind shifting to a new point. “Captain Wonder and Righteousness?” She went on sarcastically as her hand swept layers of long red hair over her shoulder.

“I feel like it sometime. But he’s a handful by himself.” He scoffed. “Pretty much. But he goes by Captain Hammer. Pretty stupid name if you ask me. But then again, he’s never been the sharpest tool in the shed.” He snorted out a laugh.

“And isn’t that the most maddening yet remarkbly entertainment about heroes?” The youth’s voice mused. “Very few are enlightening mentally and yet somehow they use this dimness to foil a perfect pursuit.” Her voice exploded at the last of the sentence and her lips pursed. “On the other hand…” She smiled, charmingly and folded her hands elegantly. “Using the upper hand of intelligence against them can be oh so amusing, yes?”

The villain nodded his head in agreement. “You’ve got a point there. It’s pretty funny watching them make a fool of themselves in front of everyone. Then again, no one really seems to notice because most of them are just as stupid as the so called ‘heros’. They just think they’re funny, witty and smart.” His face scrunched up slightly as he crossed his arms over his chest.

“That is why people can only be summed as blind if not taught other wise. Which is why people like us who see the truth as clear as the seperation between oil and water. Between charm, wit, and humor compared to…less than the latter. We need to teach them the difference. Too often is it that stupidity is spread like a plague when intelligence should siege as the true epidemic. We out to spread it.” She sighed, tiredly. “But woe to those unwilling to be taught. They will stay undesirable and dull.”

“I have to agree with you on that. But that could be hard. Some people aren’t willing to be thought or heard the truth that isn’t all twisted, fluffy and sugar coated for them. Then again, if we could turn a few people to our side, teach them, show them the truth, we might just have a chance.” A grin began to spread on his face. “But yes, you do have a point there. It’s not easy for most people to learn and change their ways.”

“I’m already on it, Horrible.” She cracked a smirk. “One move at a time. Till,” She made a grand gesture with her hands. “Checkmate. All the little band of do-gooders can face annihilation. ”

The blonde couldn’t help but chuckle softly hearing her plan. “That sounds wonderful~. Can’t wait to see it all happen. And lets just hope that no one there will stop it. The ‘heros’ tend to pop up at the last second.”

“Very true,” She grinned pleasantly. “So, Dr. Horrible, may I ask how you are? Well, I hope.”

“Yes. I’ve been well. Haven’t been into any scraps with the local hero lately and I’ve been busy working on a project of mine. How about yourself, hm?

“The same, I suppose. Working on…my little projects.” The humor in her voice was slight. “Which the ever growing union of tights and domino masks seem to wreck. But in due time…the pieces will fall in check and there is nothing a mere pawn can do to prevent it.”

Hearing the slight humor in her voice made him smirk. “Tell me about it. Once I seem to get something up and running, good ol’ Captain has to come and wreck everything. But luckily he the only one I actually have to worry about. He’s the only ‘hero’ in the city I know of.”

She gave him a rueful grin. “Aren’t you lucky.” She paused, mind shifting to a new point. “Captain Wonder and Righteousness?” She went on sarcastically as her hand swept layers of long red hair over her shoulder.
